"Acrylic" Name With RGB Led !!AMEZING!!

In the following section we are going to use an acrylic sheet and make design on it then we will scratch the design and the final output looks awesome with the RGB led strips

Step 1: WATCH THE VIDEO

Step 2: PARTS LIST

To make the following awesome looking name plate we need the following parts
1.Acrylic glass sheet
2.RGB led strip
3.RGB led strip controller
4.Regular knife much sharper or any mica sheet cutter
5.Box to place the acrylic sheet
6.Sketch pen
NOTE : The dimensions of the acrylic sheet depends upon what you are writing on it or drawing on it and the rgb led strip is usually comes with its controller so no need to buy another one

Step 3: SKETCH YOUR DESIGN

Once you are ready the]at what you are going make on the acrylic sheet. Start making it on the piece of acrylic with the sketch pen
Make sure don't draw too complicated sketch because you are going to scratch it in the next step.

Step 4: SCRATCH YOUR DESIGN

Once you have drawn your sketch with the help of a marker follow the outline of the sketch
and scratch slowly with the help of a sharp knife or a mica sheet cutter
make sure this process is time taking and if you have created any other scratch on the arcylic glass then those will be clearly visible while we use that

Step 5: CREATING THE BOX

After the completion of the scratch we can create a small housing for the beautiful lights
In my case i have used a cardboard peace and i have used some wood glue and tape to cover all the gaps
you can do the same or improve it by using a plastic box or a handmade wood box
you can see the construction of the box in the video above

Step 6: ADDING THE GLOW (RGB LED's)

now in the last step we can connect the led strips to the acrylic glass.
we can add the led at the bottom of acrylic glass so that those will not be visible at directly to the eyes
At the first use some hot glue and then gently place the led as shown in the video and follow this until you cover maximum of the acrylic glass is covered
now connect the wires from the controller to the led strip as red green blue for the three color and the black wire represent the ground
After all these steps make some small hole for the ir reciver and the dc jack for 12v power supply
AND THAT'S IT YOU ARE NOW READY WITH YOUR OWN ACRYLIC RGB LED NAME PLATE

Step 7: THANKS FOR WATCHING

VU METER (Music Visualizer) #1 With Arduino

This is the part one of the music visualizer series and In the following tutorial we are going to make a music visualizer AKA the volume meter or the uv meter from an arduino mega . The build process is very simple and easy and the program of arduino is also not that hard. Step 1: Watch the Video Step 2: Parts List             The parts needed for this build are 1.ARDUINO MEGA 2.COPPER DOT PCB 3.BREAD BOARD 4.JUMPER WIRES 5.LED (RED ,BLUE ,GREEN) 6.TOOLS(SOLDERING IRON ,SOLDER WIRE) 7.AUDIO SPLITER WITH A JACK 8.HEADER PINS Step 3: Testing on Bread Board( 1.LED's and ARDUINO ) Start by inserting the led on the bread board with the negative leg of the led to a common ground rail of the bread board (led count =20) the positive leg of the led will be there at any empty rail of the bread board as shown in the video and following pictures Then connect the ground of the arduino to the common ground rail of the l...

ARDUINO IR REMOTE (USE YOUR OLD REMOTE TO CONTROLL HOME APPLIANCES)

In this project you can choose any remote or a TV remote which you are using and you will notice that some keys are useless for your tv for that you can use that keys for controlling the home appliences like powering your TV,FAN,LIGHTS etc... you need to follow the simple procedure from the video so that you can record hexa values for that particular key and put into the program of the arduino Step 1: WATCH THE VIDEO   Step 2: THINGS NEEDED           The things needed for the following project are 1.ARDUINO UNO OR CLONE 2.IR RECIVER 3.ANY OLD REMOTE 4.RELAY MODULE 5.JUMPER WIRES 6.ARDUINO IDE 7.SOME LED'S IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A RELAY MODULE BY YOURSELF YOU COULD NEED (OPTIONAL) 1.RELAY 2.BC547 TRANSISTOR 3. 1K OHM RESISTOR 4.COPPER DOT PCB Step 3: RECIVING THE IR CODE FROM REMOTE BUTTON   This is the test to recieve the hexadecimal code of the remote button 1.install the ir remote library form the fo...

VU METER (Part-2) Using LM-3914 & LM-3915

This is the second part of the music visualization series and in the video above i have shown how you can make a simple VU meter by using the ic called LM-3914 or LM-3915. The part 1 is basically about how you can make the simple and cool looking VU meter by using the arduino microcontroller link to that is given as and now we will see the step by step construction of the VU meter STEP 1: Watch the Video   STEP 2: PARTS LIST     To make this cool looking UV meter we need these following things 1.LM-3914 IC 2.Breadboard 3.Copper dot PCB 4.18 pin IC Holder 5.Resistor(1.2k & 4k ohm) 6.Potentiometer (1K ohm) & Knob 7.Audio jack 8.Dc jack 9.LED (6-Green & 2-Blue & 2-Red) 10.some connecting wires   TOOLS REQUIRED 1.soldering iron 2.wire cutter 3.soldering wire etc... STEP 3: SPECIFICATION OF LM-3914 & DATASHEET When looking at the LM-3914 ic datasheet these are some important feat...
